Tyre care
Tyres are best stored in a cool, dark and dry environment away from direct sunlight, high remperatures or high voltage machinery.

The life and performance of competition tyres will be improved if they are 'scrubbed in' for a few miles before begin run at racing speed.

Tyre fitting
KUMHO motorsport tyres are of tubeless construction and therefore nedd to be fitted with extra care to ensure perfect seating of the tyre bead without damage to the rim flange. The use of a suitable tyre fitting machine is strongly recommended. Rims should be carefully checked for cracks, rust or any damage which may prevent an airtight fitment.

Tyres should not be inflated above 40psi (2.7 bar). If the beads do not seat at this pressure, deflate the tyre, rotate the tyre 90 degrees on the rim and re-inflate to 40 psi. If this fails to seat the bead, the assembly should be put into a safety cage and inflated to a maximum 65 psi. Failure to use a safety cage could result in serious injury.

Tyre pressures
The correct pressure varies according to driver, car and track conditions; it is often a matter of personal preference, but sufficient pressure must always be used to avoid structural damage to the tyre.

Our expert colleagues (Istvan RADO) board: 1.6-1.8 bar the ideal pressure for rally cars, depending your driving skills and the type of the pavement. (asphalt, concrete, cobble stones etc.)
